Harvesting Ghoran seeds

Rules Questions

So I have been wondering something since the first time I saw the Ghorans published a good while ago, But is it possible to Harvest a Ghoran's seed from the ghoran after they have died, allowing someone to replant them and thus bring the Ghoran back to life? The text says they can expel their seed as a Full-round action, but makes no comment about what happens to the seed if the Ghoran is destroyed.

A ghoran has a deep cavity within its belly, housing a single seed the size of a balled human fist. Roughly every 20

years, a ghoran's body becomes decrepit enough to no longer function. The ghoran imprints its abilities and memories into this seed and then plants it in the ground. After 1 to 2 months, a new ghoran body is born from the seed....

The way the part I bolded is written makes me think the imprinting takes place just before expulsion, rather than being a continuous process while the ghoran lives. That means that if the seed survives an unexpected death and is plantable at all, you'd get a brand-new ghoran, with no memories. But it seems likely that the expulsion also quickens the seed in a way that a Caesarian section (so to speak) wouldn't, so it wouldn't sprout at all.
