Retrieving an item from a hideaway limb is a move action instead of a standard action
However, drawing a weapon or manipulating an item (which covers getting a weapon out when it isn't readily available for use) are both move actions. So it's never a standard action to retrieve an item, so that line in hideaway limb is just wrong.
Right?

"If your weapon or weapon-like object is stored in a pack or otherwise out of easy reach, you must instead retrieve it as a stored item before you can use it"
The benefit of a hideaway limb here is that you can look unarmed and retrieve your weapon and fire in the same round instead of retrieving your weapon and then moving into position (or a check or something that requires a move action). This also allows you to charge and draw your weapon stored in a hideaway limb as part of the charge.

Manipulate an Item
Moving or manipulating an item is usually a move action. This includes retrieving or putting away a stored item, picking up an item, moving a heavy object, and opening a door.
Granted, you can't combine manipulate an item with a regular move or a charge if you have +1 bab or more. However, it is still not a standard action, like Hideaway Limb suggests.
