Combining unarmed attack feats

Rules Questions

So I have a monk in my party for the first time, and I'm trying to figure out which unarmed attack feats can be combined.

I understand the general rule about not combining feats that both take the same action. Does this mean a monk could combine Flurry of Blows with Jabbing Style, Power Attack, and Stunning Fist all in the same attack? Flurry of Blows requires a full-attack action, the others just seem to modify the effects of the attack and don't require a specific action. Scorpion Style, on the other hand, requires a single attack as a standard action, so it couldn't be combined with Flurry of Blows, but could be combined with Power Attack or Stunning Fist?

Is there an easier way to figure this out, or do I just use DM discretion?

Your examples and their logic are all correct. (With the minor nit-pick that flurry of blows is not a feat, just an ability.)

Nope, that's pretty much the only way. But it's the same reasoning you use to decide non-unarmed stuff, like "Can you use Power Attack with Vital Strike? (Yes.) Can you use Vital Strike with Spring Attack? (No.)" You should rarely need to make a GM call except maybe temporary ones to keep the game running smoothly when something confusing crops up in the middle of a session.

Thanks. Looking at Power Attack more closely, it looks like it can't be combined with Stunning Fist due to the following in the Power Attack text, "The bonus damage does not apply to touch attacks or effects that do not deal hit point damage."

Boy this stuff gets confusing! Maybe in the future they can figure out some easy system for indicating which feats work together and which don't!

Stunning Fist is not a touch attack, and it does deal your normal unarmed strike damage. An attack with Stunning Fist is just a normal unarmed strike with an added effect. Power Attack works with it just fine.

Hmmm, I concluded that the purpose of Stunning Fist was to simply stun instead of doing damage, based on the description in the monk class. But looking at the full description under the feats I see you're correct!
