Eyes of the Eagle / Doom

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

Are these eyes in the form of glasses, goggles, contact lenses, other? Just never imagined contact lenses in a fantasy setting but by the wording, one of my players wants to get crystal contact lenses enchanted.

I always pictured them as goggles.

Normally, they should be able to take whatever form you wish as long as there are no major mechanical differences -- but contact lenses could have the added benefit of being a bit too easy to hide. Even if they make the eyes look extremely unnatural, one could never be certain whether the eyes are that way because of a magic item or because the person in question indeed has very unusual looking eyes.

On the other hand, any party with a spellcaster in it would easily pick up the magic radiating from the eyes, so maybe they aren't so easy to hide after all.

Reading the item description, I'd say as it references two lenses, and that both must be work, I'd say contact lenses or paired monocles. Wearing just one is clearly an option, albeit one that causes the magic to not function, so I think it's probably not actually goggles or spectacles, although I think that's probably the most common interpretation.
