A couple questions about the MAZE spell

Rules Questions

1. Does the Caster of the Maze spell know when or if the spell ends prematurely(IE target makes their INT check), even if they are no longer present when it does?

2. If the Target is invisible when they return, and the Caster is present, would they know it had ended?

3. Would others present have any indication the spell had ended without the Caster telling them? Especially if the Target came back invisible?

Thanks for your feedback everyone!

I'd say no, no, and no.

Much like an offensive Plane Shift, Maze gives you no way in of itself to track the victim or even the maze itself.* And so if they do something fancy to escape, you'll never know.

Heh.

I had a game where the party Mazed the Iathavos qlippoth (the CR 20 one with the disintegrate rays). It plane shifted out. They realized something was very wrong when it hadn't come back out after a few minutes.

The party tracked it down destroying a city about 30 miles away from the original battle site, because I rolled low on the plane shift.

* The Maze done by an Otherworldly Kimono is an exception to this, since the victim actually appears on the Kimono until they get out.
