Here me out. I was thinking of the Inspired from Eberron a lot lately, and I thought, why not protray the Azlanti as possible allies rather than enemies.
Sure, they want to conquer the Golarion system (the Sun is not named, like ours is named Sol). The Azlanti are good guys. Nice guys that come in to help unify the Pact Worlds into a more cohesive whole. They don't have to seem like their bad guys. Rather they can be nice guys, until they reveal their true nature and stab you in the back.

I mean, you *could*, you just are throwing out most of the canon and thus needing to roll your own. That said, it'd take some real hoop-leaping to keep the "We want to conquer and enslave you" Azlanti while also not having them as flat out villains. The Pact Worlds are not exactly anarchic dystopian states where the only freedom they have to lose is the freedom to suffer, after all.
