Spell Sage to Mystic Theurge -- Allowed?

Surprisingly, this question never seems to have been discussed on these forums AFAICT. Someone raised it a few years back, but there was never an answer.

So: the Spell Sage is a wizard archetype that can cast cleric and druid spells: "Once per day, a spell sage can spontaneously cast any spell on the bard, cleric, or druid spell list as if it were a wizard spell he knew and had prepared." Seems clear enough. You pay a heavy price for this power, but never mind that now. The Mystic Theurge entry requirement is "Able to cast 2nd-level divine spells and 2nd-level arcane spells". Again, seems pretty straightforward (though I have the impression it's been much discussed and may have been FAQ'd). So, under RAW, it looks like you could advance your Spell Sage to 3rd level, dip a level of cleric, and then enter Mystic Theurge at 5th level, casting as a 4th level wizard/2nd level cleric.

On one hand this seems borderline OP -- you're casting two full wizard levels better than the "normal" Mystic Theurge! OTOH, on its face it looks lawful under RAW, unless there's a FAQ or clarification somewhere that I'm not aware of.

So... is there? Anyone?

When I looked at it long ago I concluded it was valid. And then I looked at the urge and decided .. who cares?

The key phrase is "as if it were a wizard spell..." Wizard spells are arcane, a spell sage does not cast divine spells. So the pq for Mystic Theurge is not met.

Bingo.

Check out the Arcane Discovery “Faith Magic” from Magic Tactics Toolbox. It does let a wizard learn to cast a spell as a divine spell.

Yeah, upon consideration, it does seem like that would prevail.

Thanks!
