So I originally ran this for a group of friends in summer break and they were able to just finish the "All the World's Meat" section.
Unfortunately, after our classes began at the university, many players had to drop out leaving me with one who can still stay. I wish to run it again for a new group containing the original player.
I've considered rerunning the original encounters but I don't want to bore him.
I need help in replacing the previous encounters to keep things fresh.
I tried adapting "Dawn of the Scarlet Sun" for level ones, but I'm having trouble tying it in to the rest of the book.
I've got a writer's block and would love to hear what you guys might say.

Well, First off, I would keep Zellara as-is. She's too integral to the plot and campaign to change, easily.
I would swap Gaedren Lamm for someone a little more combat capable and stick him in an abandoned warehouse. His room could be up in the loft with bars on the windows. Change his pet (maybe a fire pelt?) and give him a couple of actual bodyguards. Keep the kids, but come up with another cool catchy name for them.
I would keep the encounters that occue after the taking out Gaedren, including the drunken guard. Some things are very well thought out and, just because one player might get bored isn't reason enough (for me) to deny the new players of the well thought out campaign. Just change a few things to keep it interesting, but keep the general encounters similar. For instance, the ex-guard handing out soilent green to the needy, is just too good to change. LOL Give him a pet, too. Or maybe he's friends with something out of one of the bestiaries and it always hangs around him unseen, so when he's attacked, it jumps out or sneaks up behind the veteran player so he's the one surprised.
