Order 4531695 - Cancellation Not Happened?

A while ago I placed an order for the pawns Bestiary 1 box; upon realising how much it would cost with overseas shipping, I sent customer service an email asking to cancel -- and was told that, yes, the item would be cancelled.

Thinking nothing more of it, I went about my merry way, until today I got a letter from Parcelforce Worldwide stating I had to pay customs charges.

I realised, after a bit of looking through my recent orders on various websites, and then to my bank -- this order wasn't cancelled.

I have been charged for an order I wished to cancel, after being told it WOULD be cancelled, and now I have to pay more to get it delivered?

That's fine, if I pay the charge, I'll probably use it eventually. But the problem is that I DIDN'T have the money to be comfortable paying for the item PLUs shipping -- and I certainly don't have the money to ALSO pay a customs fee.

If I don't pay, the item will be returned to the sender -- is there a chance I can be refunded for that, then? It should have been cancelled in the first place, so I don't see why it hasn't been.

Yes. I am setting up a refund now. You should be able to see it as soon as your bank processes it.
