I have read through a few different threads so far on the cost of star ships, salvaging, and how BP work. I don't think any of those actually address how much it costs a group to actually repair a ship after a battle.
Under Engineering skill, it says you can restore HP to an item using UPBs, but I am pretty sure they are talking about personal items. However, I suppose a similar system would make sense for star ships.
The reason I ask is because our group recently had an encounter with a Corpse Fleet ship, and were defeated (reduced to 0 hp). Then, a group of Ysoki salvage ships came in and drove the enemy ship away, and towed us back to Absalom Station.
I imagine you could say that the crew fixes the ship over time. Abstract the system and say you acquire the necessary materials during downtime. I just wish they had addressed this somewhere. (Or did I miss something?)

If the crew is on its own in uncharted territory, it can still repair the starship's hull. Doing so costs 10 UPBs per point of damage to be repaired and requires 5 hours of work regardless of the number of points spent. A character who succeeds at an Engineering check (DC = 15 + 2 * the starship's tier) can cut either the cost or time in half. For every 10 points by which she exceeds the DC, she can reduce one of these factors by half (or by half again), to a minimum of 1 UPB per point of damage and 1 hour. Any number of allies can use the aid another action to assist with this Engineering check. Failing the check to reduce the time or cost instead increases the cost by 5 UPBs per point of damage.
The rules for repairing starships with Engineering are present, though they may or may not be satisfactory for your needs. I don't particularly care for the exact values they've given myself, but they do indicate the kinds of games they expect to have run. Different tastes.
