Stacking Magic Items that Grant Effects Other than Bonuses

Rules Questions

I am familiar with the rules on Bonuses of the same type, or Bonuses from the same source not stacking, as well as the definition of a Bonus: "Bonuses are numerical values that are added to checks and statistical scores."

With those said, what about Magic Items that grant effects that aren't Bonuses? Examples being the Ring of Regeneration, Pearly White Spindle (and flawed variants), and Cracked Orange Prism.

Could I have two Rings of Regeneration, or multiple Pearly White Spindles and have them stack? What about a Ring of Regeneration and a Pearly White Spindle Ioun Stone?

Can I stack multiple Cracked Orange Prism Ioun Stones (of different spells), and effectively be able to cast all Cantrips or Orisons.

I saw in other places that said the Rings of Regeneration didn't stack, but all cited the Same Source Bonuses not stacking, but technically by RAW, that I've been able to find, it isn't a Bonus.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

FAQ says that it doesn't have to be a bonus for the Same Source rules to apply.

Thanks! I figured this had to have been addressed, just couldn't find it.
