Paladin / Cleric VS Sanity

Advice

First some background on the game I play in. The DM runs a very story based game, not a lot of combat but it does happen from time to time. The challenges are more about redeeming a villain and saving people rather than run and gun.

I am currently playing a Haunt Collector and we believe the game is going to end in a total party kill since decisions from the last game and we are separated.

The game has been focused on a lot of madness/old ones and sanity damage. It hasn't really "hurt" the characters but my occultist does have a manifestation from sanity damage.

I want to play a support class that can handle the sanity. Starting at 4th level with slow level ups. We have never hit 8th level yet so long term plans are good but not important, and also don't need to be a combat monster.

I was going to go 4 levels in paladin and then go into cleric to work to getting greater restoration. Currently the paladin I have on pen and paper is a normal paladin with the "oath against corruption" of sarenrae. 6k starting gold, everyday normal items are free. Stats are point buy epic fantasy. STR DEX CON are 12s, INT 16 CHA 16 WIS 16. Didn't pick +1 stat yet.

First mercy is for fatigues, and Madness variant channeling. Greater mercy feat to work towards ultimate mercy to resurrect and improve initiative because when combat does happen I want to be able to position to fight/heal. 2 traits, I took enemy of the slavers and rivethun aderent.

Based on 6k starting gold I went with agile half-plate +8 850gp, Living steel heavy shield +2 120gp, bracers of armor +1 1000gp, and not sure about using circlet of persuasion for +3 cha skill checks and it is 4500 gold.

I want to be able to help others with sanity issues by increasing their saves, eventually being able to heal it. I will need cleric levels or another class to get greater restoration since paladins are cut off at 4th level spells. any tips ideas? Also even though I am of sarenrae my deity will be "the shining one" a nod to pelor to try to being him into the world heh.
