I think they are still working out kinks with their novel publisher at the moment. At gencon it sounded like they wanted to do these but had to get the publisher stuff squared away first.

Indeed, they've said at various points that they'd like to do this, but it's definitely a "after there's a new publisher deal worked out for Pathfinder Tales" sort of thing.
