Mounted combat rules?

I'm currently searching through the core rulebook for guidance on governing combat involving one or more mounted character. Do I need to bring in the Pathfinder mounted combat rules? Should I just treat mounted characters as being in vehicles and use those rules instead?

Thanks. The survival skill does cover most issues, but I'm still left wondering a few things:

- Does the rider get charge AC penalties if the mount charges? Pathfinder says yes.

- Does the rider stay mounted upon falling unconscious? Pathfinder has a special procedure for determining this.

- Whose initiative is used at the start of combat? Pathfinder says the rider's. Absent any guidance in Starfinder, I guess I'd dispense with the Pathfinder semi-merged action rules between rider and mount and have them take turns separately.
