Basic Question about Brewing Potions

Rules Questions

Sorry for a very newbie question but I can't find clarity on this as I've found two conflicting answers on this site.

I'm aiming to make a potion brewing, support character and I was looking at the Alchemist. I know about Extracts and Infusions, but for using the Brew Potion skills am I limited to only spells found on the Alchemist spell list? Could I copy something from a wizards spellbook that isn't on my Formula list and use it for Brew Potion?

If I can't I'm strongly considering a Witch or Wizard for a more flexible spell list. This campaign is expecting a lot of down time for brewing, so I would like to make the most of crafting.

You must know the spell or be able to cast the spell to create the potion. Partner Crafting with someone who can cast the spell is allowed.

So if you want to craft a potion of a wizard spell (as example), and do not have access to the spell by being a wizard (or otherwise, like some ability, trait or feat that grants you the spell), you would need a wand or a scroll or something like that of the spell you want to make a potion out of and attempt Use Magic Device reading the scroll during crafting, or have a cooperative wizard cast it while crafting.
