So I was putting together my own personal assistant computer which is really really cheap (on the order of 80 creds) and it led me to some interesting questions regarding the mechanic's AI.
Is it a computer?
It sounds silly, cause it obviously is,but for game purposes is it a computer or not? This leads to all sorts of questions...
Can I hack a mechanic's drone? What about an exocortex? Under what circumstances?
What tier computer is the mechanic's AI?
Can the mechanic's AI make social skills checks like a regular computer with the AI upgrade? If I have an exocortex can it make social checks for me?
I don't think so. I don't think it's a computer at all, rules-wise. And the Artificial Personality module is called out as not being a true AI, just a really sophisticated chat bot.
