Hello Erik_wolff,
The reason you couldn't change the email address if because you had a second account that was using the gmail address. I have merged the accounts and you should be able to change the email address now.
Thanks Diego for catching that. I certainly didn't remember creating a 2nd account. I was able to successfully update my email address!
