Environmental Protections on Armor

On page 196 in the Armor section of the base rules it bring up the topic of "environmental protections" on armor. Am I reading this correctly, does that mean that all modern armor suits have this feature?

"Unless otherwise specified, all armors protect you from a range of hazards to ensure that you can survive for at least a few days if you must make emergency repairs to the hull of a starship..." Later in the same paragraph it mentions "environmental fields" as a means to achieve this protection.

As an example, say your level 1 character buys level 1 "Second Skin" armor. Now for whatever reason she needs to be exposed to the vacuum of space.

The description of "Second Skin" on page 202 does not specify a lack of environmental protection.

Does that character in that armor have environmental protection from the vacuum of space for one day's worth of time, measured is one-hour increments? Am I correct in thinking she does not need a space suit for a short duration space walk?

That's what it looks like, yeah.

Here's a thread discussing this, and its implications for environmental challenges.
