Reclaiming a characater

Hey guys

I've been playing PFS on and off and have a character level 3. However, I recently moved and I can't really find thw character sheet.

I see the character in my PFS page but there is just a name and class. Maybe it's a silly questiion, but is there any way to reclaim this character based on my player #? I didn't put it online but maybe one of the GM's did?

If not possible, what would you say is the best thing to do if I want to get back into PFS? Should I start from level 1 again? Do I have to use a pre-gen like last time or can I create my own?

Thanks!

Lynos,

Thanks for your inquiry into reclaiming a character and I will try to answer the best I can. With a missing character sheet and since Pathfinder Society is more on the honor system, the best recommendation is to rebuild the character as close as possible to the original because, unfortunately, there is no way to recover or reclaim the character based on your number and the GM could not access your online account unless you gave him/her your credentials.

The question does come up though of if you still have the chronicles for the character? I ask this because, on a check of your profile, I noted only one game played and reported. The chronicle sheets are the needed documentation for your character with the reporting system as an unofficial backup. If you do not, you may need to get in contact with the organizer for your previous group and see if they have some record of the games you have played for level 3. If this is not possible, starting a new character at level 1 may be the best bet.

I hope this gives you a direction on what your next steps will be and please feel free to ask any additional questions if needed. Welcome back!!

Thanks you, Preston.

The entire folder where I had my chronicle sheets and my character sheet went missing.

I definitley played more than one game. I don't know why only one of those games is reported here on the website. On the other hand, I'm not sure how these things work and if GM's are required to report each and every session.

I started with a pre-gen (kyra) but it evolved into a more unique character, complete with a name change.

I guess it looks like I have no choice but to start from level 1 again if I wanna get back to PFS. I really don't remember all the changes I made to the pre-gen charcater. It was a couple of years ago.

Anyway, thanks for your help.

Maybe I'll end up finding that folder somewhere after all... here's hoping.

You can at least have your one Chronicle recovered, so you're not starting completely from scratch.

GMs generally want their games reported, since there are many perks to doing so, but roughly 10% of my several hundred games have gone unreported, so sometimes accidents just happen.

I can agree with this. I would recommend contacting the Venture-Captain for your area first on the chronicle reissue as they have access to the same information I did when I first responded to your post. If you are unable to get the reissue accomplished with your local Venture-Captain, please let me know and I will be more than happy to reissue that chronicle.
