character rebuild with higher level scenarios added

Ok, here's my reason for the question. I have played 2 sceanrios using a pregen(lvl 7 for both if it matters), then played 2 scenarios as a lvl 1, including Crypt...so the character has 4xp...I want to rebuild that character, but I am wondering if I can apply the higher lvl chronicles to it. I know I will get 500 gp for each instead of the listed amount, and access to the boons and gear when I hit the appropriate lvl. I saw a thread that said you can use higher lvl chronicles with abrand new character....would this be the case for this? Just want some clarification...thanks in advance guys!!

pretty sure that decision needs to happen at the time the chronicle is filled out, not after the fact. Certainly not after then playing 2 or 3 more scenarios.

If you could retroactively change them, it would change how your chronicle for Crypt got filled out, as you would have been level 2 when you played it, instead of one

As soon as your character has 3 xp, he becomes 2nd level. If you intended to apply those chronicles to a 1st level character, your GM should have recorded the gold reward as 500 gp and signed them. Presuming that he did or you're able to get them changed, they apply first to the character, in the order you received them. You get access to items for the subtier you played. You get the boons on those chronicle sheets when you reach the minimum level to play the adventure.

Your next xp would make him a 2nd level character.

So far this all works OK.

If by Crypt, you mean Crypt of the Everflame, that is a module that grants 3 xp. edit: You can play it multiple times with a 1st level character and once with a 2nd level character. Since you should have been 2nd level, you can apply the credit, taking up your chance to apply it at 2nd. This will make your character 3rd level.

Ahh ok. I didn't know the chronicles would have to be amended by the GM first....so they can't be done afterwards. Got it. I haven't played a scenarios as a second lvl yet, hence why I was thinking of redoing the character. That's why I was wondering about the higher lvl chronicles.

You can redo the character all you want at present. The two higher level chronicles don't count towards your xp total until they apply.

If those chronicles were applied, you would *not* be able to rebuild as your run of Crypt would have been with you at 3 xp (aka level 2)... which in reality you were not.

Which is why you can't go back and retroactively do such things.
