Align Spell-Like Ability + Summon Monster SLA

Rules Questions

If a character has a Summon Monster SLA (example - Summoner, or Arcanist [Occultist]), can he take the Align Spell-Like Ability feat and change the alignment of an outsider with it?

Example: Evil Arcane Caster summons a evil hound archon, etc? Or a good caster summons a good demon?

Where's this feat from? I can't find it.

"Align Spell-Like Ability" is a third-party feat, published by Necromancer Games in their "Tomb of Horrors Complete" book.

There is enough text to probably not be worth (or safe) to quote here, but to summarize, it has two effects:

1) It makes the spell that alignment (as we can replicate with effects such as the Demonaic's Demonic Mark ability)

2) It makes half the spell deal 'aligned damage' (which it describes as being divine or unholy; this can somewhat be replicated by the diabolist's Channel Hellfire)

Now, let's go back to the question. Can you get an evil hound archon?

Short answer: no.

Long answer: The spell itself is being given the chaotic and evil descriptors. If, for some reason, you were able to cast Summon Monster to call a hound archon, and applied Demonic Mark to it, it would, in theory, be a good, lawful, chaotic, and evil spell.

However, it doesn't do anything about the summoned creature. So not only is the archon you're summoning still lawful good (and thus likely not all that happy about being summoned by you), your demonic patron will simultaneously be pissed that you just cast a lawful and good spell and you immediately become an ex-demonaic.

Ah, I didn't double check on who the publisher of the feat is.

But thanks for the information.
