Transplant Visage, Detect Magic, and Permanent Duration Spells

So I was looking at the Transplant Visage spell, http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/t/transplant-visage/, and I noticed the odd wording in there: "Because the alteration made by transplant visage is permanent, there is no residual magical aura, and your new appearance is not recognized by detect spells." Usually I would look at that and see this as a specific vs general rule, but the wording there implies that any alterations made by any other spell with a duration of permanent, say Polymorph Any Object, has no residual aura and can't be detected with detect magic.

How does Detect Magic interact with spells that have a duration of "permanent," like PAO or Transplant Visage, as opposed to "instantaneous," like Cure spells?

Permanent spells should be detectable, I'd attribute this to an error that wasn't caught.

Looks like an error. If the duration is permanent, then the spell is permanently active and therefore detectable.

What they probably meant would be "duration: instantaneous", so the spell is instantaneous, and the result is a permanent transplantation with no aura.
