Giant Skull Scarecase-Hook Mountain Massacre

I am preparing for The Hook Mountain Massacre and I have two questions when my pc's first come across the Giant Skull Staircase. My first is does anyone have any good pictures of it that i can show my group. Second how did other GM's take care of the Acrobatics checks to getup the staircase. It says its nearly 200ft high. so if its a 10ft step that would be around 20 acrobatics checks. And that seems like a lot to me. I was thinking of doing a general check since the dc is so low but since there is a chance of failure. Or should i not worry about it since the wizard can use teleport. Thanks for the help.

My Anniversary Edition says the stairs are a DC 7 Climb check. (Nothing about each step being 10' high, just that they're sized for giants.) Most characters should be able to Take 10 and climb up without issue.

10ft steps seem awfully high for giants, given that most giants are from 10-20ft tall themselves. I image giants are as likely to be put out by a 'step' at waist or eye level as you or I would be.

Code for the rise of modern stairs is from 9 to 11 inches. I imagine a 2 to 3 foot step would be giants-sized; a true pain to the small-sized races and worth of the DC 7 climb Kalshane pointed out.

Stone giants are 12ft tall - twice human height - so it would follow that their steps are twice normal. Which would be up to 2 feet per step or so. 3 feet if you wanted to make the scale difference feel more striking. The Stairway of Skulls will be a bit wet possibly from the spray from the water flowing through the damaged dam, not helping the PCs either. IIRC there's heavy rain falling too, courtesy of the Annis Hags (D7).

Personally I'd not bother rolling this, unless combat happens on the stairs. Then you might want to introduce acrobatics checks if someone wants to move quickly. In practice that'll mean your cleric is in trouble! However more fun might be to have some giants try to bull rush the PCs off the edge. Giants are tactically limited but they do have a good CMB!
