Hello! I'm interested in playing Kingmaker, I've been in a few campaigns that sadly ended before finishing Chapter One.
Also I have all the PDFs for Kingmaker, just glanced at the later ones, a couple of years ago but I do have some knowledge of the first book. I'll keep it as separate, of course, but I want to give full disclosure. Please let me know if it is an issue.

I am familiar with Fantasy Grounds, a friend DMs with it. Would love to know your how your experience with Pathfinder FG modules goes.
I've used Skype for a while now but I am fine to use Discord or any other tool you choose.

Rolls -

STR: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 4, 1) = 11 after discarding lowest die value is: 10
DEX: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 5, 1) = 12 after discarding lowest die value is: 11
CON: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 1, 3) = 13 after discarding lowest die value is: 12
INT: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 6, 6) = 23 after discarding lowest die value is: 18
WIS: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 6, 4) = 18 after discarding lowest die value is: 14
CHR: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 5, 3) = 17 after discarding lowest die value is: 14

Point value is: 30 and none below 8.

I'll be back with a character in a day or so, now that I know the stats and can work from that.

Man we are really missing some warrior applications, everyone's stats have been on the more mental side.

4d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 4, 6) = 15
4d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 6, 6) = 21
4d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 5, 1) = 17
4d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 6, 6) = 23
4d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 4, 1) = 14
4d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 1, 1) = 10

Well I was hoping for a warrior or melee of some sort but that pretty clearly screams Wizard or Alchemist.

Will ponder it

Salnyon is going to be part melee/part summoner. I'm going back and forth on replacing the Gorum angle with Erastil.

Updated. Also, just a heads up I do have little experience with FG, but I'm very familiar with PF. I generally play here because I have to gm irl.

Character wise, I should be a good cross between melee and ranged. So, hopefully it'll help the party out.

Backstory::

Removed from his noble house at a young age, Jin left to seek his own way. He wasn’t fond of his Dwarven brethren, especially since his parents were long deceased. There was nothing keeping him there. He decided it would be best for him to take to the road. He’d be better alone in the wilderness, than in a home that he was unwanted. Only thing he was good for was talking to the stone….but was it really the stone talking? Jin wondered about that. He had more of a fondness for the forest he would occasionally roam.

While journeying to the new land, Jin met and befriended his tiger named Meheer. At first, Jin thought he’d be food. Apparently, Meheer found him amusing and decided to follow Jin. After the first day or two, Jin began to worry about being stalked by this cat.

After a few encounters, that basically ended up Meheer eating Jin’s catch Jin tried to pet Meheer. He figured if this large animal was more interested in eating other things than a fat dwarf then he may not have as much to fear. From that day, Meheer never separated from Jin. To the point, Meheer would wonder into town against Jin’s will and would disobey orders. It kept Jin from wondering into town, because the large cat would cause quite a commotion.

Personality::

Motivation – Jin has been by himself from the beginning, so it would be looking for some form of company. Maybe a conversation or two. Meheer can’t talk, but Jin still converses with him.

Quirk – Although he is looking for companionship, he’s is easily to anger. Especially when it comes to other dwarves.

Weakness – Meheer. His friend and companion. Like Meheer would not leave Jin, Jin would not leave Meheer. Jin would save Meheer before he would himself.

Pic to be used: Feel free to use the current one.

Not superman strong:P but you could make a darn good dex build fighter/melee.

Yeah you could build a wicked strong magus from those rolls, your ac will be ridiculous and if you go weapon finesse you will be accurate as well. You have the constitution to take a few hits and the intelligence to have loads of spells and arcane points.

Except Magus is from Ultimate Magic.

I am new to pathfinder and the site (AD&D and 3.5 for years), and am very interested in playing the Kingmaker series. Sadly, my schedule is to hectic for set days/times so my only method is a PBP, let me know if you hear of one or decide to run one in the future!

Dang, forgot that completely.

Hello, Reckless

Well, I tried. I've run through a bunch of concepts, even fleshed out one only to realize I built a great NPC. Inspiration seems to have left me here. I am dropping from this.

However, I would still like to harass er, plead for when you have your first session. To have someone give an informed first hand review of what works and what doesn't (if anything) from the Pathfinder modules of FG, would greatly help my friend our group's DM.

Thanks for everything and have a great and long-running campaign.

Veshly

Veshly I am sorry you don't have the inspiration, if you ever get it back I would love to see your submission.

Interested in this game a lot. Some friends and I played in a Kingmaker over a year ago, stopped part way through the second book, I am able to keep OOC knowledge OOC though if that's okay with the DM. Also we only used the kingdom building rules a little bit and we never got to delve deep into that, it looked like the best part of the campaign though and I want to get some good time in on that for sure.

Rolling to see what kinda stats I can get.

STR: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 6, 4) = 22(18)
DEX: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 6, 3) = 21(18)

WIS: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 6, 6) = 16(14)
CHA: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 3, 6) = 14(12)
35+ point buy, Looks like a Monk and or Barbarian type to me. Ill try to come up with a char concept soon and post it up.

Basically anything but a cleric. Will give it some thought. Maybe a bard or party face type.

Looking at makeup of what people are, front liner wouldn't be a bad option. You could also easily play the face, as well, with that cha score. Amazing rolls btw!

maybe a Paladin.

Also I think I am going to drop a couple scores once I decide what I want to play... those are sort of nuts.

Man that is a perfect paladin roll.

I plan on making my cleric slowly turn into a Mystic Theurge with Wizard levels. She is a Pacifist. I'm going to make her a magic crafter so she'll be useful. Muahahahaha! We'll be out who knows where for who knows how long so having someone to make out magic items and weapons seems like a good idea. I don't have her up in hero labs but she finished.

I am still planning on applying. Finishing up an application for a Paladin type.

Yep, giving people until the stated time to finish up their applications.

Sorry for that double post. My phone doesn't like this website it seems. I just wanted to post that I'm getting craft calligraphy. My character is going to be very heavily skill and heal base. Already speaking 6 languages ^^b

Time is always good.

So are a good set of skills and healing:)

I've heard rough things about Kingmaker.

SO, my friend tossed in the hat, so to speak. His plate is too full with work to participate. I'll put forward my character as a single child.

Backstory:
Vestorianora Carathestal is the firstborn of Tarathenelin and Neristrinora (the last two syllables have ended female names of her [great-]grandmothers for uncounted generations), and a major reason they ended their migration from distant Jinin to Kyonin prematurely. When they found themselves expecting a treasured child in Brevoy, the Desnans deemed the River Kingdoms too perilous a land for that delicate condition, or the tiny life they must protect. Instead, they gained the patronage of House Lebeda, Tarathenelin as a quiet researcher of market conditions, requiring a great deal of travel, Neristrinora as court bard.

As such, the Carathestals were granted two comfortable rooms in Silverhall, and it was here that Vestorianora was raised, joined some 2 decades ago by her brother Teredrimborin. Vestoriana's fascination with history derives from her father's studious nature, and the way her human neighbors speak of the events of her childhood, though her mother's taught her to speak diplomatically about such differences, during her apprenticeship in the bardic arts, and being raised in a noble house she could hardly avoid learning of nobles and politics. She was raised with the expectation that one day, when she (and then her brother) was old enough, the family would finish their journey, and trained with a fencing instructor that she might defend herself and her family when the time comes.

Motivation:
She sees these chartered expeditions as an opportunity to delve into her peoples' history, as found in the ruins of the Stolen Lands, and to tame them, making travel safer both for her family, for other families similarly "trapped" and for trade, in one fell swoop.

Quirk:
She has a habit of using ghost sound to provide dramatic soundtracks to mundane events.

Weakness: She takes such pride in her education that she tends to state guesses as known facts instead of admitting her ignorance.

Kingdom Role: I see her growing into a grand diplomat, but magister or councilor are also possibilities, depending on where RP takes her.

It is likely that as she grows attached to the community and kingdom they help to create, Elrin (or others) may convert her to Erastil... or another, more sedentary deity

Grand Lodge

I take it Newton also has the Noble Born-Lebeda trait? Perhaps he and Vestorianora are already friends?

Got my general concept and crunch done. Have a basic background sketched out but I want to add a few wrinkles and twists.

Perhaps, it certainly would make sense for us to know each other or at the very least heard of each other. I think that would certainly be interesting and am al for it if you are. @ Velarys

Luzio is going to have the bastard campaign trait. For added fun I think he will claim to be the abandoned scion of whatever noble family has the most other characters in the party.

I don't make a habit of suggesting things I'm against. With her high UMD/Spellcraft, perhaps Vestorianora and the aspiring wizard shared some classes?

How much time did Newton spend in his mother's ancestral castle? I got the impression Laurence had his own home elsewhere, but I've been wrong about these things before.

I wouldn't be surprised if Newton's father asked her to look out for his sickly son, either... though as your character, that would be up to you.

Reminder, two days till close of recruitment.

Seems like you'll have a interesting choice of characters!

He spent until he left for this journey so almost all of his life. The taking classes together thing makes sense and perhaps you could have taken care of Newton. I will work it in to my backstory tomorrow.

Good luck to everyone who has entered, should be a fun group. Who am I kidding, It's always a fun group when Reckless runs a game.

If the family's so eager not to have Luzio associated with them, why would they leave him wearing something bearing their family crest?

I didn't want to define the motivations for a large group of npcs. I figured it gives the GM a thread to play with if and how he chooses.

In my mind two possibilities were either multiple factions (or an embarrassing black sheep mother overruled by her house but unwilling to fully abandon her child?) Or strange mischief relating to Fey Foundling.

In regards to chatting... I greatly prefer text only, especially for an evening game when my husband's home. I could probably listen in... but with competing noises on my end, I would be greatly distracted and slow.
