Pyrotechnics and Continual Flame

Rules Questions

Does the spell pyrotechnics work on the ever present continual flame spell?

Scarab Sages

I'd say no. The flame has no heat, consumes no oxygen, produces no smoke, and cannot be smothered or quenched.
Pyrotechnics works by extinguishing a normal fire to create its effects. You can't extinguish continual flame, so the spell would fail.

Nope, not an actual fire - and everything Imbicatus said to boot.

It cannot be quenched. I see.
