As the title says, I just hit 3 XP (and therefore have not played an adventure as a level 2 character) with a character I decided I didn't really enjoy playing, so I'm planning on a complete rebuild for her. This Friday I'm playing in a 3-5 module online and planning on applying the 4th level pregen chronicle sheet from that to that character number.
If I want to rebuild, do I have to state that before this Friday's game (because this is my first adventure playing with a level 2 character number) or can I wait until before the game that I actually play this character again (because it would be my first adventure actually playing with a level 2 character)?
In most circumstances this wouldn't matter, but I'm basically building the new character for a long term series of modules with my local PFS group, and it would be nice to have the party's input before I make a final decision.
(Also, on a tangentially related but minor note: How do you handle numbering pregen Chronicle Sheets? Do you number them based on the order received, or the order actually applied?)

The Guide says 'Each character may freely rebuild anytime before playing an adventure at level 2 or higher.' A pregen (whether it's a goblin, Aspis Consortium agent, or standard pregen) is not your character, so doesn't affect you qualifying for a rebuild. You can continue to consider your options until the the start of the next session where you play your own character.
I leave the chronicle number blank until it's actually applied to the PC.
