Style feats and weapons / monk weapons

Advice

is there any way to get a style feat like dragon style that works on unarmed strikes, to work with a weapon or monk weapon? I was disappointed to find that monk weapons aren't naturally interchangeable with abilities requiring unarmed strikes.

You want Ascetic Style (and possibly also its sequels Ascetic Form and Ascetic Strike).

that's serviceable. I'm annoyed by how unnecessarily specific it is though. It couldn't just say "monk weapon" so I could take crusaders flurry and dragon style people to death with a greatsword, grr.

Actually, you can, because the "special" line in Ascetic Style does simply say "monk weapon". You can't use a Greatsword with Ascetic Form, though.

Note that the damage difference between Greatsword and Sansetsukon or Seven-branched Sword is only 1.5 on average - that makes Crusader's Flurry worse than Weapon Spec. Also, because Ascetic Style also includes the Monk's unarmed strike damage, the damage will be equal at 12th monk level or higher anyway.

Combining Ascetic Style with another style chain would require the Weapon Style Mastery feat, the Master of Many Styles cMonk archetype, or the Varisian Free-Style Fighter archetype, though.
