For clarity:
Tracking—which lets one see the progress of a package throughout the shipping process—is not an option for Priority Mail because the Post Office doesn't offer it. If they did, we'd be *very* interested in offering it.
Delivery Confirmation, which lets one see *only* whether a package has or has not been delivered, is available for Priority Mail. But Delivery Confirmation is really designed to assure the *sender* that a parcel has been delivered; after all, the recipient already *knows* whether or not the parcel has arrived, and having the Post Office back them up—or disagree with them—doesn't actually help solve the problem. That fact, plus the fact that working it into our system would require us to increase the number of times each package has to be handled by our warehouse (thus decreasing the efficiency of our warehouse by a fairly significant amount), means we've elected not to implement it at this time.
