Hello Batlham,
It looks like one of my coworkers got the order cancelled earlier this morning.
There are some items we have to get from a distributor or manufacturer when an order if placed for them. These items will show a longer ship out time in the availability portion of their product page. For instance, Rifter #68 says, "Ships from our warehouse in 4 to 18 business days." This is our estimate for how long it may take to get to us from the supplier.
When you place an order the bank associated with your payment method is pinged to make sure the card is valid. To simplify this what happens is we ask the bank, "We want to charge this card later, is it a good card?" Then the bank tells us either yes or no. At that point most banks will put a temporary hold on the funds, which can look like a pending transaction on your end. This is an authorization. If not finalized in a few business days authorizations expire. All this means is the bank releases the temporary hold. It doesn't mess up your order and is common with orders we have to get from a supplier. If it expires we will open a new one and immediately finalize it when the order ships.
