Pre-orders defaulting to separate "ship it" orders

I am starting a new thread because this issue is not limited to Starfinder pre-orders:

Sorry about that! It's starting to sound like this is a problem in our system that the tech team is looking into, but it should be taken care of soon. As for your items, they do all seem to be in your sidecart, so just let me know if you would like them moved.

No problem -- I was just a little unhappy with the degree of manual effort required to get things the way I wanted. Fortunately, this problem did not crop up at the same time you were selling that last batch of individual minis. THAT would have been painful!

I just recently decided to pre-order several of the "Deep Cuts" unpainted miniatures, which are all pre-orders scheduled to be available in March. When I opted to order them, they were set up as multiple orders designated as "Ship It". I had to individually change each one to "Sidecart It" to get them all into my sidecart.

Is there any way to get physical pre-ordered items to go into my sidecart by default, or is that the issue that the tech team is still looking into?

Hello David,

Part of this may related to the previous issue. The previous issue is that our system like to break orders down into child orders if they have items that are pre order. This is so that the entire order doesn't wait for the one item. In the case of the Starfinder items it is seeing several pre ordered items and separating them out into individual child orders instead of leaving them all together. I will let the tech team know they should check to see if this issue is also happening with other pre order products.

As for the shipping options, the option to ship items with your subscriptions is 'Ship with Subscriptions'. Usually if you have a subscription the system will make this the default shipping option. It sounds like your order defaulted to something different. I will have the tech team take a look.

My next chance to check these settings may be in late April, or whenever the Crown of Fangs individual minis become available. I could not find anywhere to reset that option myself.
