Yet another mystic theurge question

Advice

Assuming Faith Magic works to qualify for mystic theurge, is in your opinion a build like this viable?

Cleric 1, Wiz 4, Veiled illusionist 3, Mystic Theurge 10, Veiled Illusionist 2

I was thinking about a shadowcaster gnome (svirfneblin if the master agree), i always wanted to do a MT in Pathfinder and i really appreciate any thoughts or critics about.

Sorry for my English :P

Just in the case...Which cleric archetypes would you pick?
Feats and traits? any shenanigans?

Silver Crusade

Faith Magic would not work, sorry.

May you explain why? RAW it seems to work.

Silver Crusade

Because while you're using a higher level spell slot to cast the spell you don't actually have 2nd level Divine spells.

Mmm, i'm not totally convinced. Is there any official FAQ or clarification?

Silver Crusade

Actually I take it back, having read the ability over some more (and reading this similar thread) I'd say it would work. My apologies.

There is not, to my knowledge, but see my previous post :3

So... getting back to my original question. Any advice to build an effective MT?

Silver Crusade

*scratches head*

None of the top of my head, but I'd probably avoid Cleric archetypes since you're only going to have one level in it, unless there's one with a great ability up front that you don't have to worry about scaling.

Maybe Ecclesitheurge.

Silver Crusade

Ooo, yeah, that'd actually be great!

Since with all your arcane casting you wouldn't be wearing armor anyway, and swapping domains is nice even if they don't advance past the first spell(Domain Mastery takes care of that). And Blessings of the Faithful is an okay ability if you don't want to burn any of your spells.
