Easy conversion. Fine holds 1 medium creature, diminutive 2, tiny 4, small 8, medium 16, large 32, huge 64, gargantuan 128, colossal 256+
Needs a steeper conversion, because if you do this, a Gargantuan ship (holding 8 times as many people as a Medium ship) is only 2 times larger in linear dimensions.

As to size categories, just do what Dragonstar did: add Colossal II-VI.

On the other hand, if you had living spaceships, that would be pretty weird (and in space, as long as they didn't get lazy and inclined to sit around on a planet watching TV all day).

Some years ago I ran a game with an alien race that were born as conjoined twins and gradually merged into a single functional individual at adulthood. The two minds had to learn to cooperate and were expected to achieve 'oneness' as they aged. It helped that they were well-evolved for mental harmony already.
They had an extremely hard time recognising anything that was born with nobody else in their head as sapient.
Were any of them nicknamed Sears & Roebuck? ;)
