Empty quiver flexibility and threatening squares

Rules Questions

So, this feat chain has been picked apart and questioned in every way. One part has me uncertain though.

With flexibility you threaten adjacent squares, is this threatening with a melee attack, or a ranged attack? I would assume the AoO needs to be melee, but it isn't specified so I'm curious what other people have interpreted this as.

With a melee attack as per empty quiver style. It is an extension of that feat.

That's what I figured, and after looking back at the first feat I assumed so.

Now, another one I thought of, which we had a hard time coming up with an answer for last night. How does the PC swing the bow? Is it a two handed attack? It's a heavy mace, so a one handed weapon, but a bow is a two handed weapon. Is it reasonable to assume the PC would also swing it two handed? Not going to be using a shield anyways. So it seems reasonable.
