Pathfinder question:
I was looking in the Core Rulebook, Ultimate Equipment, and Hero's Handbook but I couldn't find the weight specifications for characters. Does anyone know which pages it's on? (Alternately, a messageboard post explaining weight in Pathfinder.)
I don't want my medium-sized character to be encumbered by all the stuff she's carrying.
Thanks in advance!

@Ventiine I can't find a citation for it but I've always played that you get a free set of clothes that don't count against your carrying capacity. Maybe someone can confirm.
The backpack adds it's own 2 lbs regardless of what you store in it, as far as I know. I just checked and it works that way in the program Hero Lab (but that is not an official source).
@Mark Thomas, please take this only in the spirit of friendly discussion, not to start a quarrel, but why do GM's that use the encumbrance rules have to be characterized as hardass? I know it's a popular system to hand waive away, but I like it myself (as a player and as a GM). Some of us just have a more simulationist bent and can find it breaks immersion to not use it.
Also it plays a role in balance and character design. For example I have seen PC's show up with a strength dumped down below 8 and they are loaded down with gear. Then they get surprised when I ask if they remembered to apply their penalties on rolls. I don't like feeling like the bad guy but isn't it a fair trade off to put enough points in strength to carry what you need?

Encumbrance rules and strength rating.
I can not find it in the PRD, but there was a discussion on this a long time ago and the consensus was that in 3.5, clothing did not count, but in Pathfinder it does.
