Emerald Spire and Faction Journal

So the other day I ran the 1st level of the Emerald Spire for a group and one of the players is asking if it would count as an ancient site abandoned over 1000 years ago for their Season 8 Scarab Sages Faction Journal. Does it?

Having played through all of Emerald Spire, I knew that it was older than Azlanti civilization.

Believed to be an Azlanti ruin from the era before Earthfall, most think the Emerald Spire refers to the ruins of large tower of green glass that rises above the clearing. However, the spire itself is far more ancient, a needle of magical crystal that reaches two miles into the earth, into the very vaults of Orv.[1]

So.. more ancient than azlanti certainly qualifies. Check away!

Ancient, yes. Abandoned by the original occupants

mostly. I'd adjudicate that level by level, which very likely means he'll check it off before he gets to a point where it might be in question.

I double-checked the wording on the "abandoned" part of that, which specifies being abandoned by the original occupants. For the Emerald Spire, that was approximately 10,000 years ago. Floors 11, 13, 14, and 16 do not count for this objective, but all others do.

That sounds about right. Level 1 definitely qualifies.
