The hatarihm are a revised and expanded version of one of my older homebrew races. The base race remains almost completely unchanged, but the lore has been reworked and massively expanded,* and they now have tons of alternate race traits and racial feats.
As always, I would greatly appreciate any feedback you guys have, particularly on the alternate race traits and feats, since they haven't been used extensively like the base race has.
In terms of balance, I always aim for something that would be comfortable in a party with core or featured races. Doesn't have to be perfectly equal with half-elves, but fetchlings are pushing the limit and if you hit svirfneblin, you've definitely gone too far.
* I know, I have a lot of flavor text, some of which is world specific. Skip past it if you are bored by it.

Definitely a powerful race, but I like how fleshed out the background is.
Yeah, my goal was something that fit in with the featured and uncommon races. Having run a campaign with the base version for two years, they worked out well.
Also, glad you liked the fluff. I put a lot of effort into it.

Which is disappointing but understandable. Life cycles, ideologies and social structures aren't exactly a high priority when they are considering printing costs. And there's that whole divide between open game content and copyrighted golarion content, which doesn't help.
But it's the that background stuff and all the little details and flavor that really brings a race to life and gives it a unique identity. I'd love to see more content to flesh out the various races, especially the ones that only get like half a page for their entire entry.
So, you know, leading by example, being the change you want and yadda yadda yadda.
