Hi guys,
I am playing a variation on feast of Ravenmoor. We have found a painting of Iola Kreigler in which a woman is tied to a stake. On our first encounter with the painting a demon came out which we dealt with and during the fight a flame hit the painting causing the painting to change to the woman being on fire. Our cleric (Desna) touched the painting and it caused the symbols of Glauhder to be burnt into his hands. Then I threw Desna holy water on the painting and she went out. We want to try and help the woman in the painting but can't work out how? Anyone ever encountered anything similar and have any ideas for what we could do? We have a cleric, wizard and a rogue (all lvl 3).

I have the module, this item is kinda in it, but it is mundane in the module -- this is "a DM special," so who knows what his, "key," is to help release her or at least not make the painting woman suffer.
Cure Light Wounds?
Or since it is an object, Mending? Make Whole?
Maybe Resist Energy - Fire?
Have you already done the basics - Detect Magic, Detect Evil? Attempt to Identify? Arcana/Religion check to see if it is a Curse? If you roll high enough, the DM may give you clues how to overcome it (like exceeding Knowledge checks by >5)
If the Cleric is willing to expend spells, you can state a plan aloud as your intention, cast Augery to see if it will help or hurt before you actually do it.
