So made Yang Weiss and Ruby this week(only 3 players so no blake).
Was wondering how close you think they look to their inspiration and if you have any cool ideas or changes that would be good to make on them. Before I put them up, as with all home games there were a few houserules made for them BUT for Yang and Weiss you can easily swap some things to make them Legal. The only one that is not this way is Yang, Yang uses the Wyroot weapon previous to Errata. I truely do not think she is playable(At least in our setting) without it and I honestly dont think the unchained monk itself is playable without the item. The best you could do with Yang Post-Errata is give her something like Vow of poverty to make up for the Ki points she so badly needs. Flavor: Entering her Ki state is the same as the burst around her when she gets hit and enraged(Note: contrary to belief her Symblance is passive, not active so its fine using Ki at any momment) and her flaming enchantment wraps around her first to make her signature gaunlets

Ruby was the hardest by far and honestly needs to be level 10 to make correctly. Ruby had some heavy houseruling that can be easily gotten around Leglly but strips a good bit of her character. This would not be required at higher levels but at level 8 it was needed with my limited system mastery. The first houseruling was to allow the ax on the ax musket to be a Scythe. Now my GM let me use effortless lace on this to be finesseable but you can easily just make it a sickle and it works fine(especially since with the way Ruby moves it has the form of a sickle most of the time anyways). She also treats her weapon as a advanced firearm for the purpose of reloading which was the only way to keep her level8, otherwise she needs to take levels of musket master which is what would force her to be level10. Her level layout is so that when she hits 9 she can retrain her combat trick into bleeding sneak attack and pick up lunge as her Snakebiter feat could be lunge and her level 9 feat could be Flensing Strike. Also her Parent for aasimar was Dwarf so she could get the cleaving feats. This is easily flavored as her getting her height from her dwarf side and her slinder figure from her celestial side.

Weiss was pretty straight forward as a pure magus. I badly struggled to make her anything but magus but it was simply not possible. She doesnt use spell strike and is clearly a spontanous caster so I gave her Eldritch Scion. True to her character I dumped her strength and kept her hp low. There is a extra +2 De given to her, that is from my roll on the heritage chart but if your DM doesnt allow it just reroll or keep it off all together. Her feats were to help her teammates since this was a low magic campaign but they can be swapped out for anything really, she truely does not need any feats. In this world the schnee familar makes Ioun Stones instead of dust so I get her plenty of those. Her Parent was a Goblin for roll with it and RAW Scion of Humanity keeps me looking like a human but thats a pretty grey area so if you DM doesnt like it just use one of her many feat slots for racial Heritage into roll with it or just give her something else.
