"Adventure Time" Game - have you run one?

Hello,

I've got a four year old and recently asked some friends what kid shows they'd recommend. I hadn't previously encountered Adventure Time, so I was very impressed with the weird but clearly D&D inspired setting.

So, I started to wonder - has anyone actually run a game set in the Adventure Time setting?

What about builds for the canon characters?

I'm just kinda curious. Plus, when my kid gets a little older, it might be a good starter-setting for some G rated Pathfinder games.

My cousin and long time GM runs a self insert adventure time game when we take breaks or are in between our other campaigns. He runs it as a two class gestalt so that it can better reflect the wide variety of abilities most characters have. For example, I play a ninja/Investigator for the perfect skill monkey and hidden attack style character. We also have a Necromancer that runs Cleric/Witch, an awakened animal Ranger, and a fighter/bloodrager. It works pretty well, considering everyone understands its a casual and funny campaign, so no one really powerbuilds too much. He likes to choose a random bestiary, flip to a page, and put whatever is on those two pages together (adjusting as needed for our power level).

He tries to keep things light as much as possible, unless something is specifically going on that is very serious. Just like in the show how everything suddenly gets more serious when the Lich shows up.

At one point, we encountered some undead. They wanted to punch everyone they ever met in the head and take their shoes. When we met them, he pointed at each party member, saying "punch your head, punch your head, your cool, punch your head", letting me (the vampire) go free. I also once spent an entire combat doing nothing but making opposed charisma checks to stop a freezing flow from following commands from it's leader. The enemy and I could both make a standard action to make a charisma check to control it, because it started attacking us and I said "you shouldn't listen to this loser, I'm your real boss" and it got confused.
