When the Advanced Race Guide was errata'd last year, some of the favored class options changed. Treat as +1/2 level higher for an oracle revelation or bardic performance options were changed to +1/6 level.
There are still characters in my area using the old options (which were integral to some builds). Are they grandfathered? If not, what are the guidelines for updating the characters? I couldn't find anything in the rules changes thread that covers favored class options.
Thanks in advance for your help. I'd like to be well informed before delivering bad news...

They are not grandfathered in.
I believe a reapplication of all Favored Class Bonuses was allowed.
I'm not sure the second sentence is correct. I did a lot of searching and couldn't find anything saying you could retrain those FCBs. There was a thread asking if retraining or grandfathering would be possible but no clarifying posts from John. Any links?

Ah. I was remembering the retraining that was allowed for Aasimars and Half-elves that had occurred like a year earlier (this character has been through 3 different errata).
THIS was the most recent (and relevant) post concerning this current thread.
(Ironically, in that thread, Andrew Christian stated the opposite as in this thread)
So, it indeed appears that no retraining is allowed (until Tonya revisits John's last statement).
EDIT: Edits were made.

It was discussed in those threads.
The problem is that the last word by John was basically "no rebuild, but I'll wait for Tonya's decision".
Later in that thread Bob Jonquet also stressed patience, but my suspicion is that the issue got lost in the transition to a new coordinator.

Just wanted to point out that reassigning fcb's is allowed by the guide to organised play.
If a favored class bonus changes, you can reassign your entire favored class bonus at each level to any of the now-legal options.
But that's not the same as a full character rebuild, of course.
