Maximized spellstrike?

I was just curious to know if maximized spellstrike increases the casting level of the spell, because the feat says that it is "as if using the Maximize Spell metamagic feat."

It does not change any of the casting parameters of the spell, but works in the same fashion that a rod of maximize would work - but uses arcane pool points instead of having a limit of 3 uses per day.
