Does the bonus movement from Glider count against your movement per turn?

Rules Questions

Looking at the Grippli alternate racial trait Glider,

Spoiler:
Gripplis' aerodynamic bodies and thick webbing between the toes enable a falling grippli to treat the distance fallen as half the actual distance. The grippli can steer himself while falling, moving horizontally up to a number of feet equal to half the vertical distance fallen. The grippli cannot use this trait if it is wearing heavy armor, is carrying a heavy load, or is unable to react to the fall (such as being helpless). This racial trait replaces swamp stride.

If you jump out (not down) a cliff that is 200+ feet high to your max distance do you
1) end the turn hanging in the air at your max movement?
2)complete your movement for the turn, including the bonus movement, such that you end on the ground?

I would handle it all in one turn.

If you find it useful... Dragon Magazine #88 referenced a book way back when called "Skydiving" by Bud Sellick. The article put falling for 6 seconds at 504 feet and a total of 1500 feet after 12.

I use (if it comes up) you can fall for 500 feet in the first round and 1000 feet on each round after that.

ok, makes sense.

just to confirm, the horizontal movement wont count against your movement for the turn? as in i could move/jump out to my max distance and then begin falling and take advantage of the horizontal bonus movement all the way to the ground in one turn?

I would say it depends on the GMs ruling. I would say you would fall all the way to the ground in one turn, while gliding(just to resolve the situation)
Another GM may rule that since you used your turn to run or double move before falling you can't use your glide for extra movement that round since you already spent your movement for that round.

As a GM, I would say you glide the full distance you want, but at max move horizontal per round. So you could be in the air several rounds.

If you glide after jumping, you still glide, but jumping distance counts first.

See the spell Glide, for how I think it would work.
