For the question:
"Crowe the Mauler has a power that lets him deal damage to characters at his location to add to his combat check. Is that supposed to affect multiple checks, or just one? And is there supposed to be a correlation between the trait added and the type of damage dealt?
The power is meant to affect just one check, but you should also be able to use it again for each combat check during the encounter. And yes, the damage type is meant to the be the same as the trait type."
Part of the resolution given states that Crowe's power should be updated on the mauler to "□ Reduce damage dealt to you by the above power or before you act by 1 (□ 2).", however this has not been updated on the PDF, is this a mistake, or the answer provided a mistake.
The reason I ask is the first part of the resolution was updated to "Before you act, you may deal 2 Electricity or Force damage to all characters at your location to add 1d8 and the Magic and Electricity or Force traits to your combat check" to "On your combat check, you may add 1d8, the Magic trait, and the Electricity or Force trait; if you do, after the check, each character at your location is dealt 2 damage of the chosen type."
They just haven't gotten around to updating the pdf. The FAQ is accurate.
