When we played through RotR recently, it became apparent that a lot of the loot greatly favours the arcane skill and intelligence. After a while, this felt unfair to the players of characters that neither used strength based weapons or arcane casting or intelligence, so basically divine casters and dexterity/ranged based weapon wielders.
Here is a rundown of the loot in the game:
Benefit from casting (Arcane or divine): 5
Sihedron Medallion x3
Summon Monster
Robes of Xin-Shalast
Melee Weapons: 5
Impaler of Thorns
Mokmurians Club
Fanged Falchion
Chellan
Karzougs Burning Glaive
Intelligence Based: 3
Headband of Vast Intelligence
Robe of Runes
Ordikons Staff
Arcane Based: 3
Wand of Enervation
Staff of Hungry Shadows
Sihedron Tome
Divine Based: 1
Emerald Codex
Dexterity Based: 1
Snakeskin Tunic
General: 2
Medusa Mask
Revelation Quill
This is a selfish request, but I was wondering if there was a chance to include some divine or dexterity based loot in the remaining SotRu adventures, so that the options are more even?
I get that this AP revolves around wizards such that the wizard benefits the most from loot, but it would still be cool to see some official new shiny loot I could use in the original RotR as a substitute, instead of houseruling some other rewards for those players.

That's true, but I was mostly thinking about the classes
- Druid
- Inquisitor
- Monk
- Oracle
- Ranger
- Rogue
That's 40% of the class decks currently available and most characters of these classes don't synergize well with the better loot of the box since they are not based around using melee weapons, intelligence and/or arcane.
There are exceptions to this of course, but so are there exceptions in the remaining class decks that can't utilize the loot very well.
Nevertheless, the season did well so far by handing out a balanced selection of loot for all kinds of characters, and I appreciate that.
In my opinion, it's not a problem of the season but more of the base set, which is understandable since it was the first.
I just thought it would be nice if the season was utilized to improve the base game by adding some official cards that are compatible instead of houseruling that part, but maybe I should've just opened a thread in the houserule forum for this issue.
Since they are very busy with the preparation for GenCon and their other stuff, making new loot cards is probably off the table anyway.

That's a wrinkle I hadn't thought about, going into Season of the Righteous. Playing Merisiel initially, and having a general preference for rogue-y characters, the complete void of Dexterity loot weapons (leading to me using the Returning Throwing Axe +1 and Deathbane Light Crossbow for the entire AP) was one of my biggest issues with the original set. :( Maybe it'll be nostalgic, to relive those fond memories all over again!

Generally speaking, it's easier to give you access to a card that's actually in the box than a new one. Much like how Holy Candle access was given through a reward. It makes it easier for folks to sleeve and play, rather than needing to proxy/print up a card that they'll use all the time.
Not to say it won't happen, there are still a couple adventures left, but given Gen Con is less than two weeks from now, Tanis will already have worked on AD5+6 before seeing this post.

I see, that's understandable. I play the seasons at home, so I'm missing that perspective some times.
Of course, giving access to a dex or wisdom based card that's actually in the box would be a good reward this purpose as well!

Sadly, that only occurred to me after making the post. But no matter the outcome, I'm sure tanis will come up with a great finale to the season, so it would only be the icing on the cake anyway :)

Analyzing loot in that way doesn't necessarily tell the whole story.
Some loot cards—especially weapons—will be outgrown, while other cards will remain useful for the rest of the AP. And not all loot cards are created equal—Emerald Codex is one of the best cards in RotR, so even if that's the only loot card in your deck, I'm not going to cry for you.

Thanks for the insight, Vic.
I agree that the emerald codex is very potent, but we didn't feel like a lot of the cards were outgrown during the rest of the AP. We basically used all the loot we found until deep into AD6.
As a reference, we played with Tarlin who kept most of the weapons, RotR Ezren who got all the arcane / int based loot and Wu-Shen who got the Snakeskin Tunic and the Revelation Quill.
During the end game, the Wu-shen player was disappointed that he was depending on finding good boons while the ezren player and me (tarlin) were pretty independent of boons, since the loot carried us for a good part of the game. Tarlin and Ezren had both around 6 very potent loot cards at the end while the wu-shen player was left with 2.
I admit that it might have something to do with perception, since the tunic and the quill were often buried for a single effect, while ezren and tarlin could consistently use their loot.
