As the title goes. I'd would like to know as I'd like to possibly be a back up GM at my store. As well, I'll be going off soon to college and would like to know how to set one up in the area.

Talk to the venture-lieutenant, and just tell him you're interested in GM'ing and see what days are open to run a game.

it's that easy. make sure you have enough chronicle sheets for the table and you know the event code.

Check to see if your area uses Warhorn or a similar site. If so, just sign up there.

How do I get the event code and how can I find my nearest Venture Lt. for my area?

You don't even need to check with a VL first.

You get an event code by going to your PFS Account then clicking the GM/Event Coordinator tab. On that tab, click the Create Your Event. It should be self-explanatory from there.

Event codes are generated when you register an event. If your local gameday already has one generated, you should be able to get the code from your coordinator or even just from your chronicle sheets from games at that location. You can locate your local Venture Officer at the Regional Coordinators page.

Thank you.

BTW, if you want to run at Neverland, let me know and I can get your sessions on the Meetup.

Thank you Rob. It is mostly for back up where if we have more players as I've noticed an increase in those coming in.

1) have pfs number

2) run game according to PFS rule

3) report game.

You seem to hit some pfs games somewhere though, they're always desperate happy to have more dms.

Yes it is nice to see our population slowly growing at the store.

I'll be hosting a campaing following some "Sanctioned" adventures by the PFS, this thread helped out with the basics on how to register... however if something comes up the road I'll have to bother the forums xD

Thx

What?

The Exchange

I'm curious about becoming a GM for PFS, but I'm currently home-bound and am not able to make the trip to my local store to try playing there. If I was to introduce my normal gaming group to PFS and come to me so I can run the scenarios at home, what would the main differences be, aside from the obvious? Would those games still count towards gaining stars and whatnot?

Grand Lodge 4/5

As long as you run according to campaign rules, you can run scenarios at home and report them for full credit. It's no different than running at the store in the eyes of the campaign.

eyup. they still count.

When you register an event on the Paizo site, look for the check box for "Event is Public." I'd recommend un-checking it for a home campaign. If you're looking to recruit players, mark it as public and also make sure the box for "Check this box if you are looking for players for this event" is checked and your event will be listed for players searching for games.

I'm on the same spot as NenkotaMoon, i hope to start a PFS table on my city on a month or two.

We already finished Rise of the Runelords, Council of Thieves and are on the finish book of Wrath of The Righteous.

I just want some advice of which season do you guys recommend o maybe which modules to start with.

First steps, confirmation, Consortium compact. make a nice introduction and get you to second level.

Well the day came for it and none came sadly. Terrible rain that day and a player was sick. Only one showed up. It‘s no big deal and I was fine with it. On the positive side our usual GM (shout out to robertness) taught several new players the game, something I am very happy about. Thanks all you nice people whom responded.
