Pathfinder Shuriken Build Advice

Homebrew and House Rules

Hey everyone,

I need some advice on a cool concept i'm working on. I wanted to make a character who solely uses shurikens. While i don't think of myself as too much of a Min/Max or "Power-gamer" i would still like to be useful and do a noticeable amount of damage. Of course I understand i will never really outshine a greataxe wielding Barbarian, i would still like to be useful.

I was thinking two levels of Ninja in order to get sneak attack, poison for flair and fun, a decent Ki pool, and flurry of stars as my trick.
I was also thinking Fighter for the large amount of feats i will need, armor training because of my high dexterity, and weapon training for a bit more damage. After this i'm stumped. I'm open to just about anything at this point. I would prefer if it goes well with a high dex, decent cha

Thanks for your time, and if you can please "cite" where the information you provide comes form such as the name of the book as i am not very familiar with much outside the core books.

Warpriest(Advanced Class Guide) will give you nice damage dice with Shuriken, and swift action spells.

RPG Superstar Season 9 Top 16

I'd personally go monk and consider startoss style. If I wanted to be a spellcaster, then maybe card caster kensai magus with a star knife (which is basically like a giant shuriken that you can wield as a knife).

Scarab Sages

The problem with shuriken is that they are ammunition. A 14th level vigilante can have a set of magic shuriken that will never run out, but anyone else will have to rely on greater magic weapon castings or spend much more on their weapon than anyone else.

Greater Magic Weapon is another point in the warpriest's favour. I built on at level 10 or 11 (I think there was a 1-level monk dip), and, with GMW+Sacred Weapon, they could have a +6 shuriken at higher levels.

Had an idea for a ninja build a while ago to do this. If you can get to level 10. You can pick up Invisible blade and TWF shurikens.

I never ended up statting the character or building it. So I dont know how it actually turns out or performs 'off paper'. But maybe you could look at that option. I remember the ninja had a few shuriken options.

EDIT: I remember thinking of taking the -str or dex sneak attack ability, so pummeling a creature with a flurry of stars would make them easier to hit if you target just the dex.
