I think I found an inconsistency in the Wrath of the Righteous rulebook. On page 18, in the section "Between Games", it says:

Quote:
If you have cards left over after rebuilding all of the surviving characters’ decks, put them back in the box.
However, earlier on, on page 14, under "Dying" the rulebook states:
Quote:
The other characters may use the dead character’s cards when they rebuild their decks after the scenario; any cards they don’t keep are then banished.

Does this mean the cards of a dead character are treated differently from other cards that are left over after deck rebuilding, i.e. they get banished (and may get removed from the game in later adventures), while other left over card are only put back in the box (and may not be removed from the game in later adventures)? Or are all left over cards supposed to be treated the same regardless where they came from, and if so, are they banished or just put back in the box?

That isn't new to Wrath of the Righteous. It has been that way since Rise of the Runelords. (You can see some discussion about it here.) A dead characters cards are treated differently then other cards left over from rebuilding.

Thanks, that is what I thought, but I wasn't sure if it was intentionally worded that way. Still, a bit weird.
