Kitsune Rakshasa-Blooded Sorcerer

Pathfinder Society

I am posting this is to check that this is a legal character for pathfinder society as I am thinking of using this as my character.

I can find nothing to say that it is not allowed and would be extremely happy if it is as this would be my first character but I have always loved sorcerers and animal-folk.

If it is as it seems like a real fun character to play!

So far, so good. If you are mainly seeking people to double check the legality of your character, then it might be more helpful to finish him first. If he is finished and your stats are in your profile, then silly me.

He is half built at the moment but thanks for the confirmation. I shall get on building him now!

Much Love

As long as you have the books the options are from, you are good!

You could always head over to the Discord Server for the Pathfinder Society Online Play. They've a channel where people discuss character builds that I'd be willing to bet you could get some help with yours.

I took a quick look at your profile for the character and noticed you listed his race as Windkin Kitsune. To my knowledge that subrace of Kitsune comes from a 3PP not from a Paizo product. While you can go ahead and call yourself Windkin, you are still just the base Kitsune race found in Bestiary 4, Advanced Race Guide, Dragon Empires Primer, and/or Dragon Empires Gazetteer.

Not trying to be a buzzkill, and if I misinterpretted your profile I apologize. I just don't want you to get too excited for something and then have the rug pulled out from under you when you go to play it.

Graywulfe does bring up a very poignant point about building characters for Organized Play—the d20pfsrd is an awesome resource for referencing things you already have and know are legal, but using it to build characters blind isn't really a great call.

I recommend the Archives of Nethys instead. The Archives have an awesome little Glyph of the Open Road icon on every page that, when scrolled over, informs you if the option is PFS legal or any changes made to the content for PFS play. No Glyph, then its not legal.

You still, even with archives, need to be careful and double check everything. The glyph icon appears even if the options are boon only.

They[ve gotten better about that and added a red warning around the glyph system.

Windkin/steppes kitsune is third party, so you can't use those mechanics.

But if you want to use a corsac fox as the image for your kitsune form you're good.

Thanks Graywulfe! You are not a buzzkill, I posted here to check if a certain character is legal and you checked my profile and called out something that was wrong. I'd prefer to know about it now than in the future when I start playing as you said.

And BigNorseWolf thanks for the idea =3 I have removed Windkin, I only used that race subtype because of it's description but other than that it is really just a kitsune.

Mine uses the Tibetan sand fox.
