Bringing the ooc comments back here. I already started up too much of them in the other thread, already.
Eadric, you were completely right about Oleg and Svetlana. For some completely odd reason I was thinking the first man who greeted us wasn't Oleg. I completely missed where DK flat out said it was him in the following post. And seeing the extra four beds on the map (now I know they are guest quarters) was helping me easily believe this mistake.
My bad.

Yes. No worries Vanion. :)
So far we have:
Eadric is at O-4 hiding behind the barn, bow in hand, ready to join the fight when he hears Vanion's signal. If Eadric needs to start in N-4 to avoid relying on his less than stellar stealth to remain hidden he will do so.
Durn is at H-9 hiding inside the barn, bow in hand and with his horse saddled beside him.
Bellis is hiding in H-18 (did you mean H-19 behind the left door?) with bow in hand. She has her bow drawn and ready to fire. You could also take position H-20 (behind the right door). This way you could leave the left door slightly ajar and have line of sight to the area in front of the barn.
Vanion has yet to decide... but I would suggest that he not be visible when the bandits arrive. :)
Although the map has not been updated yet, DK is going to have the wagon in squares R-13&14, Q-13&14 and P-13&14 I believe.
I envisioned Vanion and Obi starting in positions P-24 and O-24 (hidden), but it is their decision(s).
That leaves Lupus (who I suggested would start in T-4, hiding) and Ellaria who I suggested would start in the barn, hiding with Durn. Again this is their decision ultimately.
EDIT: And Vanion, I think that just shutting the gate will be sufficient. I don't think that you need to bother barring the door. Once the gate is closed and you and Obi are standing in the squares directly inside of the closed gate, it will be very difficult for the bandits to open the gate even if they manage to survive long enough to get to the gate. Lupus will be shooting down on the sentry and with you on the other side of the door, I would think it would be equal to a bull rush to open the gate and move you and Obi out of the way. (DM DK does this sound reasonable?) As well, those inside have the same issue more or less. They have to "go through you" to get to the gate, remove you from in front of the gate and then spend an action to open it to escape. Barring the gate also costs us valuable time if Durn is needed to run down the fleeing sentry.
Ellaria
Happy anniversary DK - hope you enjoy(/ed) it.
Ellaria will cover from the wall. She'll start with casting a sleep spell on the first two rounds, then improvise as needed. The sleep spells should take out 2-3 bandits each for a minute (=10 rounds), so as long as you all keep them busy we should be ok.

Okay, I will post an updated map in a little while with your positions and cart position change. I will position Obi behind Vanion and can plan for him to accompany you to the gate, unless he gets on in the next few hours and posts differently.
My plan is to get everything set up and then start the action itself Saturday at some point. Is a really busy weekend for me so it may be a slow start to the combat until Sunday night. I look forward to the action. Then the adventure only gets better from here as it becomes an open format where you guys decide where to go and what to do!

Ok. With Ellaria moving to the wall (fine choice by the way as this will allow you to support Lupus outside the wall, with spells, if need be, and allow Obi and Vanion to concentrate on those bandits within the fort), the gate is well handled by the four of you. Eadric will then switch positions and take Ellaria's spot in the barn with Durn. To J-9 if that allows me to remain hidden without a check (barn door closed). If not K-9 or wherever I need to be to avoid a stealth check being required. I will also switch to longsword and shield, slinging my bow instead.

K-9 is fine, I moved Ellaria to T-4, when you get up there it is a better hiding position. That puts Lupus at T-25 so he and Ellaria are not on top of each other. Posting map, if everything looks good I will forward the clock!

DM DK will I be able to open the barn door from K-9 on the surprise round to allow Durn to attack with his bow?
Yes, but the door is 10' long and opens towards the pen so if there is someone on the other side you would have to bull rush them out of the way. Of course in a suprise round they don't get AOO's so it would just be beating their check.

My position is perfectly fine. I won't be on Saturday at all, so if the battle does get started, then it's easy to figure out what I will be doing.
Surprise Round: Inspire Courage
1st Round: Double Move to the door, maintain Courage
2nd Round: Close the door, maintain Courage
Would it be possible to:
Before combat and with the bandits preoccupied in area in front of shed doors, have Vanion and Obi move towards the gate (Stealth check), say to Q-17 (or R-18?) from their starting positions? From there move to door (move action) and close door (standard action) thereby triggering the start of the surprise round? Then surprise round you/he could Inspire Courage, with subsequent rounds open for whatever?
We could also instruct Oleg to do his best to keep the bandits attentions away from the direction of the gate?

Gah! Good lord! Hit for 7 damage? What is the point of high AC when everything (including low level mooks) seems to have no trouble slicing and dicing me? :)
I'm either really unlucky or... Hey DM DK... I want those "dice" of yours checked... they seem to have it in for me. ;)
Obi Canicus
You're in a killing spree, I'm acting like a cold-blooded killer. Ironic given my fiery blood.
Don't ever become a slaver Eadric. You'll fall from grace right onto a well placed dagger! ;)
Obi's latest actions are started to weird me out a little, and I'm the one controlling him! Strange how the shy ones are the most dangerous. Agh, now all of you are probably going to try and talk to him about this.. should be interesting.

Heh, yeah, you just got flanked :) be glad they don't have rogue levels. That is the issue with running into the middle of a group of enemies, one of them is bound to get lucky, oh punching bag of flesh!

Yeah, nice deflection DK! Flanked raised him from what +2 to +4 to hit? A 20% chance to hit. It was a calculated risk. And I also took into consideration whether Bandit #2 even broke off his attack on Durn to come to Happs' "rescue".
It seems that in the future I will have to add your hot dice into my calculations. Lets see, multiply this, carry the 2, divide by the square root of pi and yes, I have it. Anything that attacks me has roughly a 50% chance to hit me and sever some random limb from my body. ;)
Bellis really is going to have to be tied to my hip! :)

We have far too many prisoners. :/
Here is what I have so far:
Bandit #1 KIA (shish-ka-bob'd)
Bandit #2 WIA (currently begging for mercy)
Bandit #3 KIA?/WIA? (coup-de-gras'd but still thrashing at Obi?)
Bandit #4 KIA (face melted)
Bandit #5 KIA?/WIA? (status unknown)
Bandit #6 Unconscious (sleeping)
Happs KIA (nearly decapitated)
That means 2 confirmed and 2 possible prisoners.
(Isn't this a switch. The ranger is against killing the guy surrendering and the paladin is ready to make the killing strike... this is gonna get good! :)

LOL I love it...
Fastest Fall from grace in the history of Paladin-dom lol
LOL
Lets face it. Eadric is almost always one standard action away from becoming an ex-paladin! :)
Given his personality, it is most likely just a matter of time...
Shall we start a pool? ;)
Durn the Wolf
Well, it's obvious that we can't keep them alive. Where would they go? Who would take care of them? But we are the law of this land. So let's give them each a separate trial (ie interrogate them), then hang them if (ie when) we find them guilty. XD
That's what Durn has in mind, depending on the bandit's cooperation levels.
Lawful Neutral for a reason.

I'm going to go with it is a comp. longbow (+2 str), meaning that you can benefit from a 14 str when wielding it.
If you are going to primarily use your bow then you can have it.
Obi: You mean to say that anyone with less than a 14 Str would be penalized... and I'm not sure about the cumulative penalty... my impression is that without the required str modifier you take a flat -2 penalty. Thats how I read it anyhow.

Questions for the Bandit:
1) Do you recognize this girl?
1a)Where is this girl now?
2) Who do you work for?
3) Where is your camp located?
4) How many others are there at the camp
5) what type of defenses are there?
6) What of the surrounding area?
Sense Motive Check 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

Ellaria,
If you can do the conversion for items for the trading post credit, we can add in the reward from Oleg and the first encounter stuff and come up with a GP amount each character gets to date. I can then give you a list of goods Oleg has as well as what he can do for you for other items.
I also need appraisal checks for the ring and the amulet.
Thanks,
DK
