One more Swab needed for the Shackles.

Recruitment

2 people marked this as a favorite.

We have a party of five that has just started Skull & Shackles.

Male Human Witch. (Time patron)
Female Dwarf Cleric of Besmara.
Female Gnome Alchemist. (Crypt breaker archetype)
Male Half-orc Unchained Barbarian. (Sea reaver)
Male Half-elf Wizard. (Evoker)

The Wizard is very busy sadly and I'm botting him until the player can get more time.

So we're looking for one more player to join the party to make a core group of around four; as some of the other players may also have problems posting from time to time.

Character creation:

25pt buy.

No Occult or 3PP.

2 traits, one from S&S.

Give me a line or two to show your background.
A point in profession Sailor is good, a point in swim could save your life.
Heavy armor is not your friend.

Skull & shackles is tough, and rewards good roleplaying, cunning and charm. But don't forget the muscle.

What post frequency are you looking for?

I've had this idea in my head for a long time of playing a Dragon Skald in S&S - an Ulfen raider who was part of a longboat crew that raided their way down Avistan and Garund, ending up in the pirate nation of The Shackles.

My only reservation is about fitting it into a party that might not be too keen on accepting my raging song, so it'd depend on how the rest of the party would feel about that.

Failing that, I'd like to make an Undine Adept druid with the Flesh Chameleon alternate racial ability, so that he appears human at first glance until his true elemental nature reveals itself.

I'm good to post on a daily basis, although I'm in the GMT time zone so it may not sync very well if most people are elsewhere. Hopefully that's not a problem.

Most of the party is managing two or three times a day, at least twice a day would be preferred.

I'm online a lot so can update quickly and frequently, which suits a faster poster.

We have the Barbarian who will probably love Raging song, I don't know about the others, but all will be considered.

We have a variety of time zones playing, I'm at GMT +12 myself, it seems to working ok.

Except as noted the work schedule cutting down on posting time.

Skald mostly done (it's been slow at work this morning!)

How are you doing starting cash?

I've got a Monk of the Mantis rolling around my head. If I can finish fleshing him out I'll submit him.

Roll for it, if low use the average.

Golfdeltafoxtrot posting as my Dragon Skald.
I hope he's the sort of shipmate you're looking for.

Forget it, I took one look at Marnir and I was all, "Hell, I wanna hang with him!" Wouldn't make another crew do without him.

But if they don't take your raging song, push 'em overboard and let me know. ;)

Thanks for the compliment dude, glad you like him. He's an idea that I've been mulling over for a while. I like to have a character idea for each AP, and Dragon Skald has always been an archetype I've wanted to try.

Born aboard a ship, and drinking his way from one end of the Shackles to the other, Tomas is young, foolish, and ready for adventure.

Ok, applications closed.

Sorry Tomas but Marnir was first pick, please keep Tomas though, it's likely we will need another at some stage and you can jump in.

DM, in that case, if it's alright with you I will write up my mantis monk and keep him on standby.

That's fine, please send a copy when you've made him, so I can look him over.
